AAU & USAV

AAU MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

Athletes are required to purchase their AAU Membership at the start of club season before athletes begin to practice as AAU is a form of insurance, protecting the athlete and our Organization. The AAU Membership year runs from September 1st to August 31st. AAU has two options for coverage: Extended or Regular.

AAU LOGIN

If you already have an AAU account, please use the link provided above to log in and complete your registration through your existing account.

For the 2026–2027 season, all athletes are only required to purchase the Regular Coverage membership. During registration, AAU will provide the option to select either a 1-year or 2-year membership—this decision is entirely up to the parent or guardian.

Please note that during the registration process, you may be asked to enter a Club Code. Amateur Athletic Union has recently updated its membership system and now provides a direct registration link that automatically connects athletes to our club. However, in some cases, the Club Code may still be required.

FTL UTD Volleyball Club Code: UD6JRWXH8

If prompted, please enter the code above to ensure proper registration under our club.

IMPORTANT:
AAU membership must be completed prior to ANY participation in FTL UTD Volleyball activities, including open gyms, practices, scrimmages, or tournaments.

Our club code is UD6JRWXH8

USAV MEMBERSHIP INFO

Important information for creating new accounts in Sportsengine (applicable primarily to those who have never had a membership before) USAV Memberships must be obtained at the start of the season:

  • Members under 18 will have an account underneath their parent/guardian’s account.
  • The parent/guardian will create an account first, prior to entering information for their player. This does not require the parent/guardian to obtain a membership or pay anything.
  • When a parent/guardian logs into their account, they’ll be able to access their player’s profile, purchase a membership, and update information.

There will be a series of questions to determine what type of membership will need to be purchased for the member. When you get to the check out page, you will see “two transactions” that equal the total membership price. One transaction represents the fees going to the Florida Region and the other represents the fees going to USAV. You will still be charged the same amount- you are just going to see an itemized breakdown. You may also see two separate charges (totaling the amount of your membership) on a credit card statement.

After a membership is purchased, you may receive an email outlining the additional steps outlining the additional steps necessary to become eligible to participate. Your account will also show these requirements. If a family has multiple members, they can have their membership information in the same master account, using one set of login credentials called a “family account.” Fort Lauderdale United VB will send a link directly to those athletes who will need a USAV membership for the season, therefore; it will connect you automatically to our organization.

Once an athlete has participated in a regional or national qualifying/bid event, athlete transfers are bound by the transfer/release rules of the Girls’ Junior National Qualifier manuals. With having a USAV membership, athletes will need to complete JR. Officiating courses to play in USAV tournaments. These courses and training modules are a member benefit, and are only available to USAV registered members. The learning Academy platform will provide access to the online training materials and track the completed certifications for each member. All Junior athletes will automatically be enrolled in the complete set of officiating team courses in their USAV Academy through SportsEngine. The courses required to complete are:

  • Junior R2 Training
  • Junior Line Judge Training
  • Junior Scorer Training
  • Junior Asst. Scorer/ Libero Tracker Training

You can login to your account here. Click on Household, then select the correct person. Click on “View Details” on the USA Volleyball membership care, then click the USAV Academy button. Click here for detailed instructions on how to complete and access your USAV courses.

For athletes turning 18 during the 2026/2027 Season or who will be turning 18 during the season will be required to complete IMPACT training as well, which will be located in USAV Academy.

By registering for and accepting placement within the program, the Athlete and Parent/Guardian agree to the following:

  1. Full Season Obligation
This is a binding, full-season financial commitment consisting of the August deposit and monthly payments from September through June.
  2. Roster Spot Acknowledgment
Acceptance into the program secures a limited roster position. The Athlete/Parent assumes full financial responsibility for the entire season.
  3. No Release Upon Withdrawal
Voluntary withdrawal, non-participation, or dismissal for any reason does not relieve the financial obligation. The full contract balance remains due.
  4. Default & Suspension
Any account more than 15 days past due is in default and may result in immediate suspension from all program activities. The Club may declare the full remaining balance immediately due.
  5. Collections & Enforcement
The Club reserves the right to pursue all legal remedies to recover unpaid amounts, including collections, legal action, and recovery of associated costs and attorneys’ fees, as permitted by law.
