The Radioactive level at Fort Lauderdale United Volleyball is designed for athletes ready to take a meaningful step forward in both development and competition.
This level represents the next stage in an athlete’s volleyball journey—ideal for those transitioning from skills-based programs, clinics, or recreational play into a structured team environment. It builds on foundational skills while introducing the expectations, accountability, and consistency required in team-based training and competition.
Radioactive athletes train in an environment focused on skill refinement, positional understanding, and game application. Practices are intentionally designed to challenge athletes both technically and mentally, incorporating team systems, position-specific training, and live-game scenarios.
Competition is not the key component of the Radioactive experience however; competition does align with growth in the game. Teams:
The Radioactive level is built to prioritize athlete development over tournament outcomes/play. While competition plays an important role, the primary focus is on building the technical foundation, game understanding, and consistency required for long-term success.
By combining team practices, structured scrimmages, and beach training, athletes are exposed to a wider range of learning environments—accelerating growth through repetition and application.
“You don’t get better at volleyball by playing games—you get better so you can play better in games.”
This approach ensures athletes are not just competing—they are developing the habits, discipline, and confidence needed to advance within FTL UTD Volleyball.
Athletes train four times per week, consisting of:
